Trent Tresch testing the reduced gravity simulator at SAM

Following a test of the trolley and reinstallation of the Reduced Gravity Simulator, Kai fabricated a prototype gravity-offset rig, a passive counterweight system that can simulate a wide range of reduced gravity fields. He made the structural frame from plumbing parts, 2×4 wood, and a section of the same barn door track used overhead. It came together quickly, and works remarkably well.

The first user of the new rig beyond our core staff was a boy from a visiting class. He did great!
